Banque Palatine and SAB: a mutual listening

Banque Palatine goes live with the SAB banking software package. Project achieved in 14 months, with a “big bang” cut-over, involving up to 130 persons (as a peak figure).

Its core businesses are retail banking with SMEs, private banking and asset management. By the end of 2005, Banque Palatine, subsidiary of the BPCE Group, counted 63 branches and more than 1300 employees.

The functional coverage

SAB’s integrated Core Banking Solution covers a large part of Banque Palantine’s operations, with the following modules: Third Party Reference database, Client Relationships Management, On-line branches, e-banking, Bank and Regulated savings, Domestic payments (cheques, transfers, cards), Bills, Forex and foreign payments, Credit and Documentary Credits management, Property loans, Company financing, Consumer loans, Off-Balance Sheet commitments, Doubtful Debts and Litigation, Accounting, SWIFT etc…

SAB fully handles the interfaces with the external systems (local and Head Office systems).

The benefit

Launched in December 2004, the project was achieved in 14 months, within the specified timespan.

The key element of this project is an important reduction in IT overheads (35%) and a return on investment on 3 years.

November 2014

Banque Palatine switches on the SAB AT version.

The upgrade project was conducted on time, user feedbacks are satisfactory and all works without major incidents. "The switch of Banque Palatine on SAB AT is a major event for SAB because it is one of our largest customers with the broadest platform of SAB modules" - Henri Assaf, General Manager of SAB.

2015 – 2017 On the road to digital

The upgrade of SAB AT version was made at iso functionalities, apart from the new modules Credit Instruction, Litigations and Customer Relationship Management. The strategic plan "Impulse" of Banque Palatine provides 40 projects, 10 of which affect redesigned processes and the development of the information system. Future challenges revolve around the Digital Bank - from the complete dematerialization of current operations to total mobility of account executives - the use of workflow that reduces communication time and the security.
